Using the Course Software
Online classes at GWC are delivered through a course management software called Blackboard.
After you follow the procedure listed on page 1, Step 2; you come to a page called "My Blackboard". This is a central location that allows you to access all of your online courses from one location without reentering your username and password. My Blackboard also contains numerous other features, including:
- Announcements from the course administrator
- Links to college resources, such as bookstore and library
- Campus Announcements
- Calendar Information
To enter a specific course just click on its title on your My Blackboard page. That will take you to the course Home Page. It contains a course menu at left, and many icons (pictures), which represent the many tools within the course.
Each instructor selects the appropriate tools to be used in a particular course so that not all courses contain all the tools listed below.
