HTML Creator

The HTML Creator appears within many of Blackboard's tools, including the Discussions, Assignments, and Mail. By clicking the "Enable HTML Creator" button, you will be able to add formatting to your text. You will need to have Java installed, and if you're on a Mac, you will need to use the Safari web browser.

Once the HTML creator loads, which may take a few moments, you will see a toolbar, similar to those in word processing programs such as Microsoft Word. Here, you may highlight text, and make adjustments such as font color and font size. You may also enter paragraph breaks, and make adjustments to text alignment. And of course, you can add bolding, italics, and underlining to your text. You may even insert an image or use the spell checker.

Once your content is edited to your liking, simply click the button at the bottom to "Save," "Post," or "Send" your message.
